Chester Barrie was an excellent English tailoring factory that produced hand made classic clothes. The quality was the same as the tailors of Savile Row, but instead of orders CB sold ready-made clothes. Similar manufacturers today include Brioni and Kiton.
No size marking, as it was hand made in England for the Man's Shop department of Harrods. Made according to the customer's measurements. Fits best on a long size 52EU.
The jacket has a regular shoulder structure, notch lapel, flap pockets, back vent, decorative stitching, horn buttons, only 2 buttons on the sleeves.
The inside has a full canvas structure, which ensures breathability and comfort.
In excellent condition: no holes or odors or stains. Only one button is loosely fastened.
The fabric is 100% cashmere wool: soft and wonderful. Thicker than the cashmere used today, so very warm and durable. Patterned like a tweed jacket.
Exact measurements:
from shoulder seam to shoulder seam 49 cm
from shoulder seam to sleeve cuff 67.5 cm
from armpit to armpit 62 cm
from neck to hem 81 cm
waist circumference 114 cm
A similar cashmere jacket from the same company cost about 2500 euros when new.
