Corneliani

Carlalberto Corneliani founded the tailoring shop that bears his name in Mantua in the 1930s. By the 1950s, the business had grown into a factory with an excellent reputation. Corneliani has always been softer in style than the aggressive Brioni, and the company is well-respected among Italian quality clothiers. It is sure, rarely flashy. The company has the majority of its shirt and suit fabrics produced in-house. Natural materials dominate, but synthetic fibers are often added to the cheaper collections to balance the price. Corneliani initially achieved its reputation with excellently cut suits, the sleeves and collars of which are still sewn by hand. The company is still run by the founder's descendants.
