Canali

In 1934, the brothers Giovanni and Giacomo Canali founded a tailoring shop that focused on high quality materials and workmanship. This paid off and ultimately Canali expanded into a factory. In the '50s, when the second generation of the family joined the company, sales expanded rapidly. By the '80s, half of Canali's clothes were made for export, and today the figure is 75 %. All clothes are made in Italy, and the finishing is done by hand. The company has more and stronger colors in its fabrics; prices are also higher on average than most Italian factories. Canali boasts a full canvas construction for suits and jackets, which few retailers remember to mention. Today, the company is known for its high quality and high prices.
